Description Unknown 2003-08-29 06:22:19 UTC
When I create a table 4x10 and split each of the cells in line 2 in 4 parts, the
upper cells and the botton cells aren´t aligned. It looks like an 1px problem.

I tested it in 1.1RC3 with WinXP and 1.0.1 with Win98

Comment 4 Unknown 2003-09-12 08:39:29 UTC
ok, its a little more complicated to reproduce it. :) There´s
something with the document file. I sent it attached repeating
step-by-step.

I cut off all the other text of it. I has just the table now. I don´t
know if it helps but some of its text came from an M$Word doc openned
in OO.

I tried to reproduce it in other clean doc but I failed. So, I copied
this to the botton of the bugged doc.

MRU->AMA: Does any one of your team know, why the cell borders are not
aligned in the mentioned cases (Bugdoc, first page)?

Sounds like a rounding error?!

Was reproduced using OO1.1.4 in Windows XP.
Comment 10 spouh_r 2005-02-04 13:09:14 UTC
I tested this problem with Open Office 1.1.4 on a Windows XP system. The same
misalignment was observed when splitting table cells. It does not seem to
matter the location of the cell split nor the size of it, or the size of the
table. This bug however does not occur with horizontal split. I would like to
add few interesting variations on the bug:

Case A:
1. Create 2 tables (2X7)
2. In table 1, split the cell A1 vertically into 4 parts. The misalignment
will be observed.
3. In table 2, resize any column in the table (for example the last one), then
split the cell A1 vertically into 4 parts. The misalignment will not occur. It
seems that tables with modified column width do not cause the bug.

Case B:
1. Create a table (2X5)
2. Split cell A1 vertically into 4 parts. The misalignment will be observed.
3. Resize the column with the cell split (i.e. column A) to make it wider.
Note the misalignment disappears.
4. Resize the column with the cell split (i.e. column A) but this time to make
it narrower. The misalignment will persist.
