Description from-oo 2003-08-27 08:36:39 UTC
I upload an updated greek GSI file based on RC3.
The changes are 10% of the content but not complete.

Nils, who takes care of the Greek GSI file?
Comment 3 nils.fuhrmann 2003-09-02 10:44:21 UTC
Ivo, please reflect the GSI file to the db for merges to the 1.1 AND
2.0 code line. Please talk to Ause how to deal with 1.1 merges in the
curent situation (after 1.1 release, before 1.1.1 release).
Comment 4 ivo.hinkelmann 2003-09-02 18:02:53 UTC
IZone,
I reflected the GSI file into out Database, 206 strings have been
changed and one key can't be found.
Can you confirm that ?
Comment 5 from-oo 2003-09-03 09:12:36 UTC
I think there are more.

I have the original gsi file (file1.gsi) and the updated gsi file
(file2.gsi).

I do:
diff -ubB file1.gsi file2.gsi | grep "^+" | wc -l
and I get 1175 .
I think that means that the difference is 1174 strings (the one line
starting with + must be the file name).

Comment 6 ivo.hinkelmann 2003-09-08 17:53:41 UTC
The database contains the strings found in the latest RC. Is it
possible that your original gsi file (file1.gsi) is an old file ( the
extract you made 5 - 6 months ago ) ?
Comment 7 ivo.hinkelmann 2003-09-08 18:15:33 UTC
ahhh , you said that your file is RC3 based, I think these 969 strings
are just the difference from RC3 to RC4, btw 206 strings changed means
that these 969 missing strings are already in the Database.
Comment 8 from-oo 2003-09-08 21:24:45 UTC
In the file I provided, these 1174 strings (if that's the correct
number) consist of:

1. strings that were previously translated in Greek, wrong
2. strings that were in German but noted as Greek
3. strings that were not translated at all (English)

If I understand correctly, only the (3) have been merged, is that correct?

Comment 9 ivo.hinkelmann 2003-09-09 15:28:49 UTC
No, normaly all Greek strings, which have been change, will be merged.
So in the current RC4 your 206 Strings are missing, because they are
now in our Database, but not yet merged into the source.
Comment 10 simos.bugzilla 2003-09-10 14:17:25 UTC
Is there an extra step that needs to be taken for this specific GSI
(RC3 based) from our side?

Comment 11 ivo.hinkelmann 2003-09-16 18:30:06 UTC
I don't think so , the updated strings will be reflected into the
source code and checked into the CVS during our next "merge round". I
can't give you a date when this will happend.
Before the 1.1.1 will be released it would be good to provide a latest
updated GSI file, so all strings in 1.1.1 are translated.
Comment 12 from-oo 2003-10-31 19:52:33 UTC
One yet more updated gsi file based on 1.1.0
that actually supersedes the old one.
