Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 18597
Font colors in word processor
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
Entering text in any font, change color to anything other than black and the font properties tab says the font should be some other color, but the text stays black. This happens in all OO applications, even within text boxes. Printing and print preview show black, too. All other text effects work fine, and color will appear and print for lines, boxes and other objects. I'm at oo 1.1RC3 on RH9. This does not appear to happen in the Windows version. No matter if I change printers or print to file. The text color changed per the text properties, but the changes are not applied to the text. Intel 810e graphics chip, hi color, 1024x768 res. PIII 933 512M Gnome WM.
additional notes: I do have the print settings correct not to ignore font colors. And, I can change the font color *manually* for the whole document by changing the global options->appearance->custom colors. No way to change color from the global option, though, even when set to automatic. The font color does change to white on a dark background and vise versa, so that works.
