Description markellse 2003-08-22 20:18:56 UTC
After updating two computers running Win2k with Service Pack 4, the error
message below occurred on rebooting, presumably when the Quickstarter was being
launched. (OOo 1.1rc3). In fact the quickstarter was running aftewards and OOo
seemed to start properly, but when I rebooted, the quickstarter did not then
start (but seemed to have loaded after an error message when one of the OOo
componentcs was started manually).

Either the application of SP4 causes real problems with OOo, or (and this shows
how little I trust Microsoft) there are dirty tricks hidden in SP4 that report
faults to disconcert users, just like they used to do with DRDos and Windows.

Here is the error message:

OpenOffice.org cannot be started due to an error in accessing the OpenOffice.org
configuration data.

Please contact your system administrator.

The following internal error has occurred: GetStorage, name: "No Content!

Does this error-message appear everytime the system is rebooted ? Does
a repair (OOo-setup) fix this problem ?

please try to repair the OOo. or reinstalling.
If the problem still happend please report back

Using the repair option fixes the problem. That does not, of course,
show that the problem will occur on another machine running Win2k.
