Description janove 2003-08-18 08:43:12 UTC
I have a spreadsheet containing columns and I wish to convert the formulas to values in another
(new) spreadsheet.

Workflow
1) Create new speradsheet
2) Select columns in source spreadsheet
3) New spreadsheet> Edit > Paste Special > (under selection: toggle off formulas) > Ok
4) QC

Some of my time formatted columns are converted to decimal numbers, which is not wat I
wanted. The input formula was :"=Q2+0.000150462962962963" and displayed as "12:56:40",
but after pasting it into the new spreadsheet it read: "0.54"

It is a bit difficult to convert the decimal number to correct time, and as far as I can see, the
workaround is to export the original file to an ascii file an edit it using sed/awk....

Hi,

this is not a bug but an support request. For such questions please
use the mailing list as this system is just for reporting bugs.

It seems that you have switched off the format function in the Paste
Special dialog as well.
