Description Unknown 2003-08-17 20:26:06 UTC
registration wizard will popup on every launch of OO, even if i click "never
register" or any other option in the menu... this was suppose to be fixed in
RC3, according to the OO users mailing list, but it apears like its still
there... i tried to rename my ~/.openoffice to make sure this is not a local
problem with my copy\user, and its the same (tried with other users on that
system as well...

Comment 2 Unknown 2003-08-20 13:32:46 UTC
$ /usr/local/bin/OpenOffice.org1.1.0/soffice
javaldx: could not create link of name:
/usr/local/bin/OpenOffice.org1.1.0/program/../user/temp/java/a which
links to /usr/local/j2re1.4.1_03/lib/i386/client, symlink error: -1

thats all that showing (not related, i guess) when starting openoffice
from terminal. the wizard shows up every time i start the application..

Not an API issue => Framework.

Soory - but this behaviour is reproducable (btw. for any version!)
only, if the office user layer is write protected. Might you installed
your office as root and use it as normal user? Please check your
installation. Every user of your machine needs write access especialy
to the *.xcu configuration files (among some other files).

Otherwhise for me it works fine.

JA: closing this issue as invalid as it is an issue which happened due
to user error (wrong installation type)

Install using the -net parameter as root and start setup from that
installation for every user.
