Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 18172
WW6: black background instead of white for drawing textbox
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
Hello, I'm trying to switch from MS Office to OOo, so I'm testing all documents I have, to see if they're correctly imported into OOo. I've a .doc file that is showed almost correctly: on some pages there is some text (a title) that is displayed using a black background, while MS Office uses a white background. Since the text is black too I see only a black rectangle. I'll send you the document. Thanks.
Created attachment 8416 [details] the zipped document that shows the bug (see page 3)
Was able to reproduce this using rc2 as well as rc3.
HI->MRU: Sounds like a import problem.
MRU->CMC: I get the assertion "unknown ww6 sprm. Reportto Dev". May this be the reason for the black text objects or is this a different issue?
ww6 drawing object background problem of some kind.

Can be fixed for 2.0. Implemented in killarneyfilterteam13. Problem afflicts slightly nonstandard colours used as backgrounds for ww6/95 drawing objects.
Reopen to reassign
Looks good to me in killarneyfilterteam13
Fix checked in CWS filter13.
Verified. Fix will be included in OO 2.0.
Original problem fixed. In 680m38 there will occur a crash when opening the attached (large) doc, due to some table problems. I will file a follow up issue and post the ID here.
Follow up issue 30006.
