Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 17939
autocorrect/replace: with change of font
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
Hi, it would be great if you'd have an enhancement of replacing characters in "autocorrect": e.g. I'd like to replace "->" with a real arrow. But therefore it is necessary to change the font, too. The same could help changing "tel." with a telephone symbol etc. Thank you, Felix
This is already possible as AutoCorrect replaces by any formatted text you need. Simply write the replacement text in Writer (in your case the arrow with the required font type), select it, call the AutoCorrect Dialog and add the text to be replaced ("->") into the "Replace" edit field and press the "New" button.
Hi, hope you'll still see my reply: Good to know that it works--but let me add that this method isn't very intuitive... Thanks
