Description sparcmoz 2003-08-06 13:13:32 UTC
Hi,

i would like to contribute a installation tarball for sparc linux (some people
are asking for this). i found the procedure at
http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/releaseinstructions.html#naming_conventions
but do not understand some things:
- where does the tarball go to?
- do i need a new access or can i use the ssh tunnel and cvs login that i have
already?
- the email address on that page is no longer alive
openoffice-admin@openoffice.org

or please point me to the instructions if i have missed these,

for the filename conventions you better look at
tools.openoffice.org/releases/filenames.html.

if you're able to upload to a ftp server I will provide you account
information.

(1) filename conventions - noted.

(2) yes i can upload to ftp server.

(3) i assume i should provide installer and solver?

(4) is it best to wait until RC3 is closed?

(5) i will have time to do this saturday.

(6) i assume it will say somewhere that this version is for testing.

I would like to contribute two versions of sparc linux install tarball.

version (1) is for finding bugs, it might crash in spreadsheet
version (2) is for users who wish to be more safe - the spreadsheet is
built with no optimisation but will not help to find sc build issues.

i am not sure, what to do next?
