Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 17890
readme.xrm, localize and spaces
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:53:51 UTC
Hi, there are spaces at the end of some strings in readme.xrm: <Text id="a" xml:lang="en-US" url="ahead">The OpenOffice.org community, responsible for the development of this product, would like to invite you to participate as a community member. As a new user, you can check out the OpenOffice.org site with helpful user information at </Text> This string got extracted without the spaces by localize: localize -e -i 42 -l 01,42=01 -f GSI.txt oo@pavel:~/BuildDir/ooo_11rc3_src> grep ^readlicense GSI.txt |grep "with helpful user information at"|wc -l 2 oo@pavel:~/BuildDir/ooo_11rc3_src> grep ^readlicense GSI.txt |grep "with helpful user information at "|wc -l 0 oo@pavel:~/BuildDir/ooo_11rc3_src> Properly localized README will thus be unreadablebecauseeverythingwillbeinalmostonestring.
I do not know if installation or l10n is the right component.
Ivo, do you have an idea?
I currently try to find a solution
Pavel: please checkout rev. 1.6.14.1 of transex3/source/xrmmerge.cxx and rebuild transex module. Please let me know if it works the right way.
Starting the build - will be back in a while.
New version extracted everything and the only differences between old and new version are: -For latest updates to this readme file, see +For latest updates to this readme file, see<SPC> and -you will find projects... +<SPC>you will find projects... Thus it works! Thank you.
verfied.
Finally done.
