Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 17786
print select
Last modified: 2003-10-13 11:22:46 UTC
When one selects a range and then clicks print can the spreadsheet program use "Selection" as the print range and not "ALL". This will help people migrating from Lotus1-2-3.
This preselection is still available: just select a range and click on the print button in the functionbar.
Closed because worksforme
In the windows build if my default windows printer on the system (windows control panel) is PrinterA whereas my printer on "printer setting" of openoffice document is PrinterB this function does not work. If at both the places the printer is same the function works perfectly well. Regards,
This happens in all aplications, so I adjust the component to PRINTING. =>PL: Maybe this one is a result from #8618#
JA->PL: please have a look at this
pl->oc,ja: the range selection in the print dialogue has nothing to do with printer setups at all. That's something the applications do. pl->nn: If i read that correctly the print range set by Calc works differently if the document printer is not the default printer. I could not reproduce this, but OC and JA seem to be able to.
If the document has a different printer from the system default, the "Print Directly" function just calls the normal "Print" function, which shows the normal print dialog. This is intended behavior and implemented at framework level, see http://framework.openoffice.org/proposals/printing/Standard_Printer.htm
JA: in this case I will close this as invalid...
