Description biloti 2003-07-31 14:25:26 UTC
This is not a properly installation problem, since the installation was fine. I
have installed OO 1.1 RC2, from the official tar.gz file on my Debian woody
linux box (glibc version 2.2.5). OO works quite well and never crash, but when I
tried to run soffice -help, it presents the complete help message and then the
segmentation fault error.

I have some machines for which the OO installation directory is in fact a
mounted NFS partition, that is, the OO is installed in some server and the
/usr/local of that server is exported via NFS to other machines. In that client
machines soffice -help works smoothly, but OO does not (see issue 17517).

This segfaultis a known issue and fixed in current inhouse OOo version
and will be automatically fixed in on of the next 1.1 releases.
