Am I mistaken, or is autosave not enabled as the default?
I think the default setting should be "enabled". Then, users will not have to 
discover the hard way (losing their work), their preference to change the 
default setting.

Not a bug ! Autosave has never been enabled per default ! Maybe a wish for a change in this feature ?

Sorry, wrong issue type. I understand now it was not a DEFECT but a 
FEATURE I wanted fixed :)

Autosave would cause the user to proably overwrite files that shall
not be overwritten until further notice. The default therefore must be
off.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
