Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 17691
General I/O Error while trying to save a spreadsheet
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:55:29 UTC
Don't know if this is general or not. I opened an existing OO-spreadsheet and changed some data on 'Sheet 1' and 'Sheet 3'. Then I hit the 'Save' button, but a box with 'General I/O Error' appeared. I tried 'Save as' a different filename, but it did not work. Then I tried 'Export' PDF export. This worked fine. Then I tried 'Save as' Office2k which worked too. Then I tried 'Save as' OO-Calc which worked. After that, the 'Save' button worked again. I tried to reproduce it, but it did not work. Save target directory was my local home directory with a lot of free space; file access rights were 644. I still have the .xls .pdf and .sxc files if you need them.
Hi Kurt, as you said you changed some data in the spreadsheet, the component chart is wrong. I changed it. Also, you said you can't reproduce this behaviour and so do we. So I've to close this one as worksforme. Feel free to reopen it if you can reproduce this Error more than one times. Best regards Frank
