Description emile139 2003-07-28 11:40:32 UTC
Hello,
I run the previous version of OpenOffice on my XP Pro SP1 machine without
problems.
I did download the latest version 1.1RC into a temp file (e:\temp\brol) . When
I request to start the new setup.exe I receive an error pop-up
"Windows cannot acces the specified device, path, .......You may not have the
appropriate permissions to access the item" see screen shot attached ss0.jpg.
The attached files can be found in the mail I did send
to "users@openoffice.org"

I have only this problem with OpenOffice all ather downloads I do are without
any problems

So I decided to delete the entire folder ( e:\temp\brol) containing the
downloaded OpenOffice files , see attached screen shot ss1.jpg.

I did found that this is NOT allowed as "acces is denied" , see screenshot
attached ss2.jpg

I tryed to remove the "read only" from these OpenOffice files without success

So I cannot install the new version and I cannot delete the folders and
file ....any recommendations?

Thanks in advance
