Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 17321
Update Helping page to include link to member joining page
Last modified: 2003-08-06 13:28:37 UTC
As suggested by Paul, update the Helping page to include a link to joining the OOo QA project.
what is the Helping page? louis
The Helping page is http://qa.openoffice.org/helping.html This issue stems from a comment I made in an e-mail to dev@qa.openoffice.org as follows: In response to Gordon S. recently asking for feedback on http://qa.openoffice.org/helping.html The one problem I found was that I had to browse the site help to find out how to "sign up as a member of the QA project" as directed in step 2. I came back to read step 2 several times to make sure that I hadn't misread that joining QA and joining OpenOffice.org required two different steps. I suggest splitting step 2 into 2 steps something like: 2. If you haven't already, join OpenOffice.org [w/ existing link] and login. 3. If you haven't already, join the qa project by clicking the Join this project link at the upper right on the qa Project Home page [provide a link to project home]. If you have already joined, the link will read "Request New Project Role".
Made the changes as suggested by Paul. Will email Paul for feedback.
Done for now. Will overhaul documentation shortly.
