Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 17293
DataPilot Bug if a Record named "Data" exists
Last modified: 2023-02-06 17:17:28 UTC
Creating a DataPilot table with ROW and DATA records in the obtained table you have a button for any "Row" and a single button for "Data" values. You can change the position of "Data" values (in row or columns) by dragging the "Data" button. The BUG is: if in the source table for datapilot you have a column named "Data" then in the obtained Datapilot table the "Data" button is not viewed and you can not drag the data values to Rows.

Hi Alessandro, normally I have to set this Issue as double to your previously submitted one, but as this description leads us to the real problem in a better way, I leave this one open. For future Issues please reopen or better add the new information to a closed one if you have one and do not submit a new Issue dealing with the same behaviour. The problem itself is language dependend. If you have a column called data (in english Daten in German and probably dati in Italian) you get a column with the same name in the datapilot twice, causing the trouble you've encountered. Thanks for help and support Frank Hi Niklas, as discussed, one for you. Frank
The column that contains the different data fields is called "Data", so there's two columns with the same name, which doesn't work. Renaming columns will be added later.
Due to time problems this is re-targeted to OOo later

Embarassed I'm ... Testing with 3.2.1rc1, there's a pop-up window informing that I'm not allowed to modify this field (nor the "Name" one). So it's not possible to test by modifying an existing Data Pilot. But I guess the bug is not only about modifying but also about creating a new data pilot? If so, the bug is still alive.(Tested with fr langpack and locale and renamming "Dat" -> "Données")
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
For me, not reproducible with AOO 4.1.13
