Description jeco 2003-07-22 23:16:50 UTC
(OOo_1.1rc_0307, french version)

I change a style (ex. font size or color) with a RightMouseBouton->'Modify
style' in the style panel of the writer/draw/impress application. The style
applies well but the undo action does not work properly. The style modification
is ignored in the undo buffer, but it is still possible to undo to previous
actions before the style modification.

Strangly, spreadsheet works well.

Good luck ;)

More investigations... sorry

- Type 'jkhkjhkjhkjsqdfqsdf' in the writer.
- Apply style 'title 1'
- Type somethinggfgdfgdfsgsd under in normal style
- Modify the style 'title 1' with right-clic. Change background color
to blue. Apply. (the color change well)
- Continue to type somethingkljlkjlkjkljkljklj

- Now try to << cancel wath you did :
<< somethingkljlkjlkjkljkljklj disapears, ok
<< [The background color is still blue, should be canceled]
<< somethinggfgdfgdfsgsd disapears, ok
<< 'title 1' canceled (background color to white), ok
<< jkhkjhkjhkjsqdfqsdf disapears, ok

This is what you (PM) discribe in issue #8528

Finaly, I reproduced this bug also in the spreadsheet, so ignore the
related comment in the 1st post ;)

TM->SBA: Sounds more like a stylist-problem than a framework issue to
me. Please have a look, thanks !

Due to performance reasons, it was designed this way.
But we're working on it ;-)
Reassigned to Henning.

>But we're working on it ;-)

Thank you very much ! It seems many people ask for it (issues #13175
#15579 #8347 #15587 #11598 #7983 ...)

I would like to see more people working on OOo in my compagny but due
to undo problem I would be very confused to teach them OOo. I am sure
to hear "Yes, but in Word I can..."

Bye. jeco
