Description diane 2003-07-20 16:59:12 UTC
Under the tools menu in options-spreadsheet-calculate, the 2nd and 3rd date
formats do not clearly show which section is the month and which is the day.
Numbers other than 01 should be used, as in the first choice, to clarify the
formats.
Comment 1 oc 2003-07-21 13:39:06 UTC
You cannot change the dates because it is the base of the internal
daterecognition. If you would change it, all dates in your spreadsheet
which are based on this option will change. The formatstring in the UI
is localised and represent the default dateformat of the UI language.
Therefor this will not be fixed.

Closed because wontfix
Comment 3 diane 2003-07-21 14:49:40 UTC
That is a puzzling response, especially considering both are
selectable choices in the Options, no matter whether they are global
to the application or not, but I will drop it. I reported it more for
the clarity of OOo than for me...and clearly, OOo has made its choice.

I agree with the person who logged the bug: the responded "oc" seems to have
misunderstood the request. It is only a change to the text that appears in the
UI, and would have no effect on new or saved spreadsheets.
