Some Effects remove the antialiasing in the presentation
Comment 1 alex.thurgood 2003-07-16 17:42:59 UTC
Hi,

What kind of effects are you talking about precisely ? Text box
effects, transition effects, 3D effects, lighting effects ? Please be
a bit more specific.

Could you post a copy of the file that is causing you the problem to
this issue, so that we can take a look at it ?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Alex.

set to new

I can reproduce the bug.
It occures with all effects which 'moves' the text e.g. Fly in,
stretch, rotate, ...
When the effect doesn't move the text (e.g. cross fade, vert./hor.
lines, checkerboard, ...) the antialiasing works afterwards.
Comment 5 thb 2003-07-18 13:46:50 UTC
That's because moving text is pre-rendered into a bitmap, which is then moved across
the screen. There are technical reasons why this is not so easy to achieve with anti-
aliasing, thus, target OOo2.0.

Fixed in cws_src680_presentationengine01 (though not for all canvas backends).

thb->cgu: please verify. Note that under Windows, using the DirectX canvas, we currently have no
font antialiasing at all. So please try Linux or Solaris, for the time being.
