Description vliscony 2003-07-16 04:06:31 UTC
the same master doc I could open in 1.1b2, for in fact I printed it finally from
PDF generated in 1.1b2, while I could not edit it in 1.1b2 because of font
display problems.

but I've now tried to open the same doc repeatedley with 1.1rc and it simply
hangs and freezes the application.
Comment 1 vliscony 2003-07-16 05:12:45 UTC
it crashes the program some of the time, not all of the time....
Comment 2 vliscony 2003-07-16 05:18:47 UTC
when it finally did open, it then crashed the program on closing, and
this triggered the crashrep.exe utility, which however crashed itself,
so nothing was ever sent, I believe, if it was however, I made
reference to this issue.

Can you upload the document that triggers the problem, please? Thanks!

OK, you now have all the files.

the problem starts as soon as you say "yes" to "update all links?"
Comment 12 h.ilter 2003-07-16 16:04:58 UTC
I've downloaded all files and I've opened the *sxg file with update
all links = It works, I got 166 pages.
Comment 13 vliscony 2003-07-16 16:42:54 UTC
thanks for your report... this suggests that it sometimes works... but
elusive bugs are still bugs.
I got it "working" one time, I could look around in the file, etc. but
then it crashed on exit and ran crashrep, and here's the receipt:
quote

So, I don't know where that stuff goes in your system, but I put the
reference to this issue on the crashrep.

Of course if you have any suggestions what might make it work
sometimes and not others, it would help. Are you on a wind2k system,
or on a Linux system? If so, I could run it on my linux system and see
if it works there??? I haven't installed it as of yet.

HI->ES: I can't reproduce. Try your luck.
Comment 15 thorsten.ziehm 2003-07-18 13:47:54 UTC
The stack you sent says, that this task is duplicate to 16229. In an
internal build this task is fixed. So this task will be fixed in OOo 1.1.

I close this task.
