Description Unknown 2001-09-19 20:56:19 UTC
(Note that the "subcomponent" is forcing "www" which is incorrect, this seems
to be a general UI defect)

The build is 638.

Using the current release of RedHat 7.1 (no updates to KDE or X) using the jre
within jdk 1.3.1, I fairly often find that I can no longer click on the menus
(and have them drop down). I find that if I switch away and then bring the
window back into focus then the menus work again.

I played around and was unable to see an obvious pattern that causes it to get
into this state.

I've noticed this in both the word processor and spreadsheet, havent' checked
others.

What Window Manager do you use ? What's your focus policy ?
Comment 3 Unknown 2001-09-20 15:45:25 UTC
Using the default window manager of KDE (I believe it's called kwm) -
Assuming I know what you mean, the focus policy is to click on the
title bar to gain focus (this is the default KDE mode).

If this isn't what you mean by focus policy, let me know.

sorry cannot reproduce (though I have redhat7.1 / KDE / same focus
policiy ...)
No idea about that (except the usual blabla: upgrade to newer kde or
redhat-72 and keep your fingers crossed)
