Created attachment 7650 [details] wrongly displaed document
Text is placed into a table cell (why would one do that??). Table cells cannot be larger than one page - eg. are not continued on the next page in OOo 1.x This is sheduled for 2.0 to enhance compatibility - (personal note: i myself doubt that cells larger than a single page are necessary at all) To edit the text choose Tools|Text<->Table I mark this one as duplicate to the table issue 2109 *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 2109 ***
closing duplicate.
> i myself doubt that cells larger than a single page are necessary at > all The need for this comes up often, though perhaps not in the way you are thinking. Suppose you have a yearly plan, with the first column representing quarters and the second column representing months: ----------------------------- | | Month 1 | |------------- | Quarter 1 | Month 2 | |------------- | | Month 3 ----------------------------- If you're working in landscape and have both headers and footers, it's very easy to get into the situation where you have too much text in the *month* cells (the smaller cells) for the quarter cell (the big cell) to fit all on one page. I worked as a translator at a project for two years where we did all of our periodic plans in this fashion in WordPerfect. Adopting OpenOffice.org (had it existed at the time) would have required changing the way we conceived these plans.
