Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 16706
Text direction buttons in the "Object Bar" do not change the allignment
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:43:45 UTC
Follow-up to issue 13961 REPRODUCTION: 1. prepare a document containing two paragraphs 2. first paragraph is set to LTR 3. second paragraph is set to RTL 4. select all 5. use RTL button in the "Object Bar" to switch the textdirection and allignment for all. => When changing the text direction via the RTL resp. LTR icons in the "Object Bar", the text allignment does not change accordingly. Text direction itself changes correctly. Happens also with current inhouse version. FT and me agreed that the allignment should also be changed automatically.
Set "Target Milestone" to OOo 1.1.1.
The spec for this feature (not accessible on OOo!) states that the alignment is changed unless it's centered or justified. Selections over multiple paragraph cannot detect the setting inside of the selection. That makes it impossible to decide what to do. I will not change anything here based on an agreement but only based on a spec (certainly published on OOo).
Alright, that's ok by me. SPEC missing. us->ft: could you pls. update and publish a SPEC for this aspect in order to make a small feature behave as expected.
Hi Oliver, I have done some minor changes to the spec, see http://staroffice-doc.germany.sun.com:8080/Teams/StarOffice_Coordination/Product_Management/Development/Common/CTL-Requirements/Dialogue_Changes/Dialogue_Changes_Writer/Dialogue_Changes_Writer.sxw section "New Buttons/Symbols"
.
Fixed in sw/source/ui/shells/txtattr.cxx in cws os22
cws os22 is available on so-cwsserv01, wntmsci8 and unxlngi5.pro
Changing resolution to FIXED in order to mark issue as verified.
Issue verified.
US: ok in (internal) OOo MWS srx645_m27s1-1.8738.
