Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 16474
Installing libraries
Last modified: 2003-10-09 09:42:21 UTC
Installing libraries via Organizer doesn't seem to work. I select "libraries" tab in organizer, then "Add" button; when i select file containing the libraries to add, file selection window closes, and non library is installed

Hi, I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you are talking about. Can you please be more specific in your description, and explain: 1) What is 'Organizer'? Is that a part of OpenOffice.org that I don't know of? 2) What kind of 'libraries' do you want to install? Windows Dynamic Link Libaries (DLLs)? 3) How is this related to the UCB project? Do you know the Universal Content Broker (UCB) project, against which you filed this issue? I'm now adjusting this issue's priority, and reassigning it back to you for more information. When you've done that, feel free to assign it back to me, and I'll look what I can do to help. Regards, Matthias
Well, maybe i chose the wrong component. This issue refers to macro libraries. I didn't find a suitable component.
Hi, Now I see, menu 'Tools - Macro - Organizer - Libraries'. And yes, the corresponding project is probably difficult to guess. I'm forwarding to the UDK project, which also includes everything related to Scripting. Regards, Matthias
Thomas, please have a look at this. I played a little bit around with it and it seems not be working for me either.
It is a regression => set to OOo 1.1 RC
TBE->YAKKY: Can you please confirm, that this affects the import of Basic libraries from documents only.
It affects both writer and calc documents. I'm still figuring how to package libraries to use pkgchk.exe, so i haven't tried it, yet. Once installed libraries work well
I would like to add (i don't know if it's a real issue and i should open a new one) that i'm trying to remove a library installed with pkgchk, but i'm not successful. Selecting the library to remove, the delete button is grayed out. I figured because of the "shared" (-s) option i used for install via pkgchk. I didn't find any option for pkgchk to remove installed libraries
An option to remove from command line will be supported for OOo 2.0. For now, you just have to remove your package from shareuser/uno_packages, then run pkgchk [-s] again. The package content will be removed from your packages cache directory, all links being removed, too.
TBE: Basic libraries, which were installed with pkgchk in user/uno_packages, can be removed by UI and with pkgchk. Basic libraries, which were installed with pkgchk in share/uno_packages can only be removed with pkgchk, but not by UI.
TBE: fixed in CWS tbe5
Should i expect to see this fix in 1.1RC1?
TBE: This fix will be hopefully in OOo 1.1 RC3
reviewed
TBE->JSK: please verify in CWS tbe5
verified.
Marking as Verified in order of JSK

No complains from yakky, so i'm closing the issue now.
