Description eric.savary 2003-07-04 12:29:05 UTC
(In Writer)
- Tools - Configure - [Keyboard]
- Ctrl+Sshift+A is affected to "Left-to-right"
... but also, in the context olf a Graphic, to the accessibility feature "select
anchor".
1) this is a redundant shortcut
2) the accessibility shortcut does not appear in the list, thus is not custoES:
mirrored in IZA -> #ispel#ble.

CD: This looks like a general problem, when we want to support context
senstive keyboard shortcuts. I will clarify how we want to solve this
kind of problem.
Comment 2 carsten.driesner 2004-04-23 15:16:43 UTC
CD: To change this we have to remove all keyboard shortcut resources from the
application and provide a new configuration dialog that provides all contexts
which are possible. This looks not like a task which can be done in the OOo 2.0
time frame.

I don't understand the issue. Does it still exist in Apache OpenOffice? I checked versions 3.4.0 and 4.0 on Windows 7.
* Open Writer, then go to Tools > Customize > Keyboard: Ctrl + Shift + A = "Left-to-right"
* Go to Draw, then go to Tools > Customize > Keyboard: Ctrl + Shift + A = not assigned
* check radio button "OpenOffice" in the keyboard dialog: Ctrl + Shift + A = not assigned

When I insert a picture into a Writer document, select it and press Ctrl+Shift+A (if that is what Eric Savary referred to) nothing special seems to happen. In the OpenOffice documentation, I have not found any relation between Ctrl+Shift+A and image anchors. I don't understand how this issue relates to accessibility.
