I am unable to repro this with my copy of OO write on windows 2000.

What is the paragraph directionality setting you are using? Are you
sure that it is set as RTL?

I'm unable to reproduce it with my 1.1RC (brand new get it from
mirrors.sunsite.dk/openoffice/stable/1.1rc/) as well.
I'll tick it as works for me.
look at the 14delimiters bug it says there there were some major
enhancement to the bidi text - maybe it did that!
