Description Martin Hollmichel 2003-07-01 20:09:00 UTC
no font display using 16 bit display and Vera. Start the current Solaris
OpenOffice setup. It installs Vera to /var/tmp/* . Display to a 16 bit Linux
display does not show any glyph. Seems that Antialiased display to 16 fails
without using RENDER (the used Solaris box does not have libXrender).

Duplicate to issue 15743 (binary incompatibility with old FT lib)
which got worked arounded by a patch in CWS VCL13 = m9s1.
Please verify on your system.

The core problem is the same as issue 15743, but the code that
determined which version of the libfreetype library was installed
failed on unxsols4, so it was assumed a version <= 2.0.9 was
used, because the "FT_Library_Version" API call was introduced
with 2.1.0.
