Description jht 2003-07-01 05:26:27 UTC
Font: Times, Size: 12pt

Entering text works fine until an emdash is entered. ie: '-' character.

The following text creates the problem:

    Name - Address

The displayed text is: Name Ad-dress, where the '-' overlaps the first 'd'.
On backspacing to remove all type including the '-', and then re-entering the
same text it generally works fine.

Comments:

I don't have a Times font on my system, so I couldn't reproduce this
issue. I did interestingly enough observe the Roman font change
Name - Address to Name . Address with a period in it. I also observed
Times New Roman expand the - on my system.

This is really an issue. On my machine (linux), the dash had a
different effect than what was reported. The dash got moved towards
the word Name and then the text after Address is displayed with
overlapping white space.

jht and maxkennedy: it looks like RC1 doesn't exibit this behavior. I
am putting the bug as WORKSFORME as that was set as a guideline by qa
leads for bugs that appear in b2 but are fixed in RC1.
