Description sforbes 2003-06-23 22:20:35 UTC
When setting cell format to Hebrew date display, when OO converts the number to
the format, that cell should change to RTL.

This is since the number is always entered LTR, but the final date display, when
in Hebrew, should always be RTL.

Right not, the user has to change each cell indevidually, after OO has converted
the text

Shoshannah,

Since 1.1beta2 is quite old now and there were some BiDi bugs fixed in
the mean time, does the latest 1.1rc3 still show that behavior?

Could you please give an example of what actually is displayed wrong
and which number format code was used to display it, and what you'd
expect to be the right display string instead?

Thanks
Eike

tested with 1.1RC3 on win XP, Hebrew local.
Notice the attached document- the cell format was set as date (in
Hebrew letters).
I entered today's date:
26.8.03
It displayed:
26. 2003 .Aug
as the date is in Hebrew letters, it should display
2003 .Aug .23

Hi Herbert,

Seems to be your construction site, otherwise please tell me what
we're doing wrong.

Select the Hebrew date format >D. MMM. YYYY< and notice that the date
is displayed correctly in the listbox and the preview field, but not
in the cell after the number format was applied. This is true for
both, Windows and Solaris.

Because of limited resources for OOo1.1.2 we decided to shift this task to OOo2.0.
