The /net install is missing the java configuration step.  The dialog is not
presented, and the javarc file is not created.  After a workstation install from
the /net installed directories is subsequently performed, each soffice startup
results in a core file from a segmentation fault in javaldx.  
A workaround is to perform a regular install too, and copy the javarc from that
to  the corresponding location within the /net installed directories, I believe
it was <path-to-net-install>/openoffice60/user/config/javarc.  Note that it does
not work to put the javarc file under the user's
<user-home>/openoffice60/user/config directory created when they do a
workstation install from the network installation directory.
