Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 15577
CVS access rights to external/addons/dictionaries
Last modified: 2012-01-29 22:14:19 UTC
I haven't found an "external" entry for IZ issue, so I've used the lingucomponent one. I'm asking CVS access rights for external/addons/dictionaries in order to update the Italian linguistic addons I've contributed or I'm going to contribute to the project. I've already CVS access for other repository modules, so all legal stuff is OK. Thanks in advance. Gianluca
change component.
Any news about this issue? It's 3 months old... Gianluca
Hi, Good point! I think everything have kind of gotten bogged down with the push for OOo 1.1 final. The lingucomponent should own dictionaries and it is obvious people will need to update their own writing aids in the tree. So who do we have to ask to give Gianluca writer permission in external/addons/dictionaries in all build trees (this one and upcoming ones) so that he can maintain his own writing-aids? Gianluca, until this gets resolved, please just post any new wirting aids to this issue and I will personally commit them ot the next build tree when it opens. Kevin
hi, it's still on my list, I'm fighting with the source cast interface to get permissions correctly set.
gianluca, can we meet sometime on irc to get the access rights correctly implemented. I have somehow to tweak some options and need some quick responses if that works for you.
sorry, but I haven't IRC access via my internet access yet. What's the problem?
I hope all problems are solved now, I introduced the role Dict Developer and added you as member to the external project. please let me know, if this works for you. that mean you should be able to commit or add any file in external/dictionaries.
I still get this message: cvs commit: Examining . cvs commit: Examining addons cvs commit: Examining addons/dictionaries cvs commit: Examining addons/dictionaries/it_IT User luctur doesnt have <Commit> access to an entry in external cvs [server aborted]: correct above errors first! after having tried to commit a change for the file readme...
I changed resource from dictionaries to addons/dictionaries
I succeeded in committing the test file, so I suppose everything is correctly working and we can close this issue.
Currently I have hardware problems and I cannot use ssh2/cvs. This situation should last some weeks. Can I use this issue to attach new version of the Italian dictionaries if they will be available in the meanwhile? Please, Kevin, confirm
Riccardo Losselli volunteered to help me by updating the Italian dictionary. He has already signed the JCA and has the CVS access for the Italian site. He just need access rights for the dictionaries module. Please, Martin can you grant them to him? Thanks
Is there any chance to have this task accomplished? It's open since September 2003... If you can grant the access rights to Riccardo too, it would be better. Regards Gianluca
I think it's time to close this issue. Please let's Riccardo get the CVS access. We still have problem with dictionary in 1.1.3 after more than 6 months the new version was released. Davide
Added myself to cc
mh->luctur: you should contact me or assign such an issue to me if you want this resolved :). It's really not a good idea to have such formal things assigned to the wrong people. is ricardos ssh tunnel already functional, what is his login name ? please assign issues to the person from which input is requested otherwise it will get out of people scope.
Martin, I was assuming you were the owner of the external project and new issues are usually redirected to the owner. Originally, we changed component for that reason or not? However, I think Riccardo's key is already operating. It should be a good idea to add Davide too, if he agrees. Regards, Gianluca
Yes, I agree.
davide also now have access to it, sorry for the delay.
This issue is very old, pleas close it Thank you
close issue.
