Description magrawal 2003-06-05 20:39:07 UTC
I am attaching 2 documents: a Word 2000 document, which is my thesis and a
staroffice document. I opened the word document in SO 6.1Beta2 and pasted about
25 pages into a new SO document. The problems are the following:

1. Double-spaced text in the original became single-spaced in the copy.

2. Text-wrap around figure 1 (page 15) got messed up. As a result, the figure is
now overlapping the text in table 1.

3. Section breaks before table 2 got lost. As a result, the table which was
supposed to be seen in landscape format is being seen in portrait format. This
is my biggest concern.

4. Page numbering information was not copied. I would have expected the .sxw
document to have page numbering because the word document had it.

5. The original text was justified. The copy is only left-justified.

I must say that the word document opened in SO6.1B2 just fine.

Though this all regards clipboard issues, please submit ONe issue for
ONE problem (have a look at the "submitting rules" on OOo), because
they all regard different code areas of the clipboard code in OO.
Thank you for your patience.
