Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 15317
Input fields aka 'tekstvakken' aka 'invoervelden' break after opening and saving MS Word
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:12:55 UTC
In MS Word 2000 there is an object that's called 'tekstvak' in dutch. It can be found in the Insert menu and has an icon showing a piece of paper that has a letter 'A' and lines on it. In MS Word XP the object appears to be called 'invoerveld' which translates to input field. In version 1.0.3 these fields are ignored. Since the 1.1 the fields are interpreted as FILLIN fields. In MS Word the fields looks like: { FILLIN "name" } and additionally the field has a separate value for it's contents. The problem is: the original object which contains additional information disappeared.

Hi, I wondered if any progress has been made on this issue. The particular object I was referring to is called a 'Text Form Field' in Office XP. Please, e-mail me if you need a document containing this particular input field. Regards, Henk Spaan
