Comment 4 michael.ruess 2003-06-17 16:06:06 UTC
From this poor description, I cannot see where the problem is.
When exactly does the size change wrongly? After editing the OLE
object? After saving and reloading the document? Which dialog did you
quit?
Also attaching a sample file to this issue could be helpful.
Feel free to re-open this issue, when you have done so.
Thank you very much!

This bug seems to be a duplicate of bug 6158 which is closed already but the
problem still exists in Openoffice 1.1/Linux. (at least for me). I dont't know
if it is better to reopen 6158 or this one...
Comment 6 michael.ruess 2004-01-20 10:32:28 UTC
This issue is still open, so we should use it. It would be quite helpful, if
somone could give a clear description, how to reproduce this problem. E.g.
attaching a sample file and "open the file and do this, do that... and see the
object size changing". Until this is not the case, I'll set this issue to
"worksforme". Feel free to reopen it when you have done.
Thank you very much for supporting us!

Testcase for not showing correct formula size after reopening
Comment 8 rkiehne 2004-01-21 06:42:24 UTC
Just open the file and have a look at formula (3) on page 18.
I'll attach a screenshot to show how it should (not) look like.

Just stumbled over another bug - please try to edit the formula (3) by double
klicking on it. Does it work for you?

Comment 11 michael.ruess 2004-01-22 12:33:19 UTC
Yes,
I can see. These are problem which have been already solved. In your document
these problem will still occur, because the objects are stored with wrong
information in the file. This cannot be fixed. What has been fixed is the way,
you come to these objects, means, that in the future you should not get such
objects anymore.
Comment 12 rkiehne 2004-01-22 17:05:01 UTC
Thanks a lot - but just to get you right:
Has the bug been fixed for an upcoming version or should it work already
(1.1.0)?

Are my documents screwed up forever or can I fix them by reopening all
formulas and saving them afterwards?

Comment 13 michael.ruess 2004-01-23 08:02:59 UTC
No. When using 1.1.0 it should be possible to repair your document by opening
all formulas and then saving the document as new file (as you mentioned above).
The bug, which generated the wrong object sizes when saving the documents has
been fixed for 1.1.0.
Comment 14 rkiehne 2004-01-23 08:42:10 UTC
Too bad. This document has been created with version 1.1.0.
