Description pratesi 2003-06-01 17:54:35 UTC
I do not know if it's better to submit this message as an enhancement request,
please let me know.

Anyway: as in the subject, to scroll in the command window of the
formula editor, I can not use the mouse wheel; moreover, the view inside
the command window does not scroll until I stop moving the scrollbar
and release the mouse button.

Another small defect: the code wraps always at about 800 pixels, also if I use
a very large (or very small) window per the OOo application; hence, when I edit
formulas on a 1400x1050 desktop, a lot of space is wasted.

Finally, is it possible to customize the fonts used in the command window?
It seems to me that the used fonts are "Times New Roman", but it is a font
not available on Linux, hence, if I do not install msttcorefonts and I do not
use a font replacement for "Times New Roman", the rendering of fonts in the
command window is a bit ugly :-(

Thank you so much in advance,

Marco Pratesi

MRU->TL: I wouldn't treat this as en enhancement. Scrolling via mouse
wheel is basic funtionality in the third millennium (even in the
command window).

TL: Fixed in CWS tlapi1.

Files changed:
- edit.hxx 1.11.10.1
- edit.cxx 1.28.74.2

TL->QA: Please check other command events (keyboard events, shortcuts,
mouse events, ...) in Command window also.

*Very fine, thank you so much!!!*
I have rebuilt the starmath project on OOo 1.1.0
using the updated files and used the formula editor
for a couple of hours, everything seems OK, this is
*very* useful when editing long formulas code.

Is it also possible to make the command window content
scroll continuously according to the scrollbars movement?
Currently, if I click on a scrollbar and drag it,
the command window content does not scroll, the view
gets updated only when I release the mouse button.
It seems that the “continuous scroll” feature is available
in all the other parts of OOo.
The feature just added is extremely useful (thank you so much
again!!!) if the mouse has a wheel, but, if the mouse has not
a wheel, the equivalent action taken by the user consists
just of dragging the scrollbar.

Already recompiled and tried, it seems to work fine.

Please forgive me if I shout...

T H A N K Y O U ! ! ! :-)))

BTW, would it be possible to include these changes in OOo 1.1.1?
They seem working without problems on OOo 1.1.0...
