Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 14911
incorrect (too large) formula bounding box after loading
Last modified: 2004-03-24 13:51:05 UTC
The bounding box (frame) of a formular (paragraph anchor) precisely encloses the formula - after saving and loading, the bounding box is too big. Example: Create a document with a formula (I'll try to upload a small example document) Save the document Quit OO (or close the file) Reload the document -> bounding box too big click formula to get into formula editor click text to leave formula editor -> bounding box all right save document repeat ad libitum In documents with many formulas this can be pretty annoying Please send mail, if you need more information Cheers Oliver Reloa
Created attachment 6436 [details] Small example document as mentioned in the bug report
Here's another thing that goes wrong: Load the example file Doubleclick the formula so the formula editor comes up Click on text -> formula bounding box is ok now Right click formula -> Caption : add a caption Click on text Click on formula so only formula, but not the caption box is marked Ctrl-x to cut the formula -> cursor jumps to beginning of page (this is another bug already reported elsewhere and (if I remember correctly) considered 'Closed') The caption box remains Click the caption box, then delete it, watching the cursor jump :) move cursor between the two lines Ctrl-v to paste in the formula -> formula is pasted in with a font so large, that the formula now extends over the full page width Cheers Oliver
Tested with Release candidate 3. Seems to work now - except for the last step: when inserting the formula, it is still done in a font so large that it extends over the full page width. Nevertheless the main problem (bounding box) seems to be solved. I might file another bug concerning the large formula size and will close this for now. Thanks.
