Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 14850
Problems with GDI metafile import
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
When importing or pasting (paste special) GDI metafile figures produced by MS Visio, it will produce a malformed figure when importing (or paste special) a specific figure produced by MS Visio. The figure that becomes malformed is the UML Use Case figure called Actor.
Created attachment 6396 [details] Gives an example of the GDI metafile import problem in Writer.
Please let developers assign target milestones. I assume you used OOo 1.1 Beta? Is somebody able to confirm the issue?
cmc->cgu: This would be a graphic bug not a specific writer issue. But I checked with visio 2000 and srx645m8. Within visio file->new->software->uml model diagram, and then pulling an actor to a drawing and copying it and pasting it as wmf into writer now works fine for me.
set to new
I can see the bug in the attached document in the latest internal version.
CMC mentioned that he has no problems in an actual version. SJ->CGU: In the attached document you can only see that we had a problem, but the document gives no information if the bug is still happening in an actual version. Could you please verify this, by copy&pasting the corresponding figure from Visio into an actual office.
according to Caolan it seems is fixed in srx645m8. The OOo1.1RC2 is an srx645m9. Please test if you can reproduce the bug im OOo1.1RC2. If the bug still occures please attach the MS Visio file.
According to the comment from Caolan I change the status to fixed.
I close the issue. Please reopen the issue if you can still reproduce the bug.
