Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 14772
WebDAV ucb forgets authentication info after a URL in another domain has been opened
Last modified: 2003-09-01 11:13:33 UTC
Open a document in Writer using webdav on a server which requires authentication eg http://myserver.com:4000/taminowebdavserver/myfile.sxw I selected "remember password for the session". Then open a document on some other server, eg an HTML document or an image. When you next try to save myfile.sxw, you get an error. The reason is that the PROPFIND is failing with 401 since the authentication information is not being sent with the requests anymore. Workaround: Close the document which you opened from the other server. Save your file locally. Then "save as" to the original webdav location. (The WebDAV server in question here is Tamino, which uses Jakarta-Slide code. But this problem should be reproducible with any WebDAV server).
Hi Kai, can you please have a look into this? Thanks, Matthias
I tried to reproduce the bug with Beta 2, but everyting seems to work fine (no error message). J, could you please recheck against Beta 2.
Tried again and harder ;-) Not reproducable in Beta 2. If the problem still exists for you, please give me a step by step instruction and reassign this task to me again.
.
JA: closing as WORKSFORME (there has been no response for months...)
