Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 14622
Excel filters reads wrong values
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:55:29 UTC
I have an excel-File, which is read wrong in OpenOffice1.1beta. It contains of numbers like 42365 which gets automaticly converted to numbers like 6,21045797500564E+033 It seems to be a rather new bug since it worked fine in OOo643. I will attach the Excel-File in a few minutes.
Created attachment 6273 [details] the example excel file
cannot see a problem in 1.1 Beta 2.
works->closed
when will beta2 be released so I can verify? I could only see beta1 for download on openoffice.org
should be available in the next days or weeks.
I hope I don't get annoying, but could you please test my example file with the german version of beta2? I just tested the english version of beta1 and it loaded fine. Since the bug happened on the german version (sorry that I did not mention it, I did not think this could be the reason) this seems to be a localisation problem. Could you please test the german version of beta2 and put this issue reopened in the correct component? Thanks ahead!
The Excel filter code is completely independent from the Office language. By the way, I *have* tested it in a German version... :-) It works too in an English OOo 1.1 Beta1 and in StarOffice 6.1 Beta (German and English). Maybe a problem in your installation. Please test it in a Beta 2 (when available), and feel free to reopen this issue.
bug is not existing anymore in beta2 :-)
Ok, thanks for the feedback.
