System: Debian 3.0r1 + SapDB 7.3.00.32-3, unixodbc 2.2.3-1 from http://sapdb.automatix.de  
Database access is mostly fine. (See further bugreports).  
This issue:  
Navigation using the cursor up/down hides cursor.

after further investigation, it seems that this is a duplicate of
issue 14703. It describes that events fired by form controls changed a
lot, and this is exactly what hits some internal DBA components in
this bug here ...
