Description Martin Hollmichel 2001-08-07 10:41:54 UTC
There are several users which don't have any access to cvs.

I have been in contact with hdu. I can log in as hdu (Herbert has
said he cannot even log in).

Some or all of this issue may revolve around user error (we have
already found examples of people who were simply entering
incorrect passwords). We need to replicate these errors.

So we need to make sure that these three users have done all
they can to fix the problem themselves. Can they log into
SourceCast? Are their passwords and usernames correct? Do
they have developer access to the projects they need?

If so, we need the exact natures of the problems. Since this is
only happening for a very small percentage of people accessing
the site, my guess is that something they are doing is different.

A transcript of CVS sessions for these folks is necessary,
including: complete login, checkout and commit transcripts;
module name and paths, and error message transcripts.

Meantime, we are examining the permissions and user data for
these accounts. So far, we haven't found anything different about
them.

Since all three of these accounts are actually present, I am
changing the summary to better reflect the nature of the problem.
Comment 3 Unknown 2001-08-08 17:28:48 UTC
I have now changed all three of these users' passwords and
successfully logged in, checked out, updated and committed to
openoffice.org CVS while logged in as each user. (The GSL
mailing list will show these commits). I have also sent them
their new passwords - I had to change them in order to do this
testing.

There is no problem with the accounts. I'm closing the bug.
