Description drc 2003-05-08 19:38:45 UTC
Several user hostile issues especially affecting education users in UK. There
are many example files in url quoted.

With reference to TU7.4.doc from that suite:

i) Document opens by default with page format parameters related to letter size
paper. MS opens with A4 paper size.

ii) Graphical features rendered differently - size and position errors. (Pages
4, 8 and similar)

iii) Bullet indentation is messed up on the same pages.

UK govt content suppliers are prolific users of MS features, and provide a rich
source of compatibility audit material. If we hope to win market share from
the content users (especially the education sector) we need to get this more
right more often. I wish I had time to do more.

i) I cannot reproduce this. When I open the mentioned file, tha paper
fpormat is correctly set to "Letter".

ii) is due to the fact, that Writer is not able to position graphics
and frames with a negative vertical position. Is handled in issue #84546.

iii)wrong bullet indents are fixed in OO 1.1 RC.

Due to the fact, that you submitted more than one problem in one
issue, it is not posible to set a suitable resolution state. Thus I
set it to "fixed", because i) works for me and iii) is already fixed.
ii) is handled in a different issue.
