Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 13948
Errors loading and saving Excel 97 file
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:15:02 UTC
The attached file is a simple form in Excel 97 format. When loaded into Calc the following errors occur: 1. Fit to # of pages is not set. % reduction (which is correct) is active instead. File cannot be printed correctly without this setting. 2. The autoshape box at the top loses the text alignment. It goes from centered to left. 3. The font size in the autoshape box goes from 14 to 13.9 When the above file is saved as Excel 97 from Calc and reloaded, the following further errors appear: 1. The font size in the autoshape box goes from 13.9 to 9.9. This occurs even if the font size if set to 14 (which is what it should be) prior to saving. 2. The autoshape box at the top loses the text alignment. It goes to left even if corrected back to center prior to saving. 3. The columns shrink by ~18% or so completely trashing the formatting. If the column widths are corrected in Calc and the file resaved as Excel 97, the column widths do not shrink. The text in the autoshape box, however, will always revert to left justified, arial 9.9pt, even if the font is changed to something other than arial.
