when typing {hat a}, the "hat" above "a" is placed too high with distance too
far away from "a".
In OpenOffice 1.0.2 Mandrake Linux 9.1 version {widehat a} seems giving the
correct formatting. However, in both OpenOffice 1.0.2 / 1.0.3 Windows versions
{widehat a} also has the "hat" placed too high.
All the symbols in the same family (tilt, vec, etc) have the same issue.
