Description pmartino 2003-04-16 10:15:41 UTC
When OO_1.1b is running with no document opened (or with a non empty document
opened).
If you open a document from the desktop (or a terminal : swriter
mydocument.sxw), the document is opened and an empty document is also created
and brought to the front.

When OO_1.1b is running with an empty document opened.
If you open a document from the desktop (or a terminal : swriter
mydocument.sxw), the document is opened and the empty document already opened is
brought to the front.

Sorry, It wasn't a bug but a misunderstanding of the -writer switch.
I think however that it could be changed.

Problem/Feature.
1) Open Openoffice.org, leaving it running but with no document open.
2) Open an xterm in a directory with a swriter document (test.sxw)
3) If you type
 soffice test.sxw it works perfectly
    but if you type
soffice -writer test.sxw OR swriter test.sxw
Two documents are opened, test.sxw and an empty one

Reason: this is normal since the -writer switch creates a new document.
Proposition: I think that such a command line should just open the
document
and should ignore the switch.
