Description ulf.stroehler 2003-04-15 14:57:28 UTC
Follow-up to issue 8618.

PL in issue 8618:

> But the problem goes much deeper in principle: the applications do not
> set the pagesize on the printer object that is used in the printer
> properties and/or the printer dialogue; this is why the paper size is
> always the default paper when you enter the printer setup dialogue (by
> pressing "Properties...")

US->KA: pls. consider this task for both applications, Draw & Impress.

Similar problem here. I can't print useful notes in OOImpress 2.3. They always
print in landscape mode, which cuts off the bottom half, no matter how many
times and in how many different ways I attempt to configure the printer settings
for portrait mode. (That is also the printer's default setting. OOI 2.3 is
ignoring those settings, as well, choosing instead to /always/ print in
landscape mode.)

WORKAROUND FOUND: Export to PDF, selecting "Export Notes".
The first half of the output file contains the presentation in landscape format.
The second half contains proper notes pages, in portrait format.
Print the second half for usable speaker notes.
