Description kieser 2003-04-14 21:51:29 UTC
The following steps:

  1) Select comlumn A
  2) Keep select button down (mouse button)
  3) Move mouse to right to highlight all visible columns.
  4) Move mouse right to start highlighting columns not visible (i.e. scrolls
the columns).

The scrolling "runs away" to the right, highlighting dozens of columns instead
of smoothly scrolling to enable use to highlight one or two (of a few).

Hi,

not a bug.

And how would you determine how fast or slow a scrolling should be?

closed invalid

you can use keystrokes to achieve the same

I just lost 7 hours of work because the scrolling wouldn’t stop and the
automatic backup (every 15 minutes) failed.

In answer to fst, no scrolling would be superior to half an hour of unstoppable,
progressively slower and slower scrolling. If the effect of "selecting beyond
the rightmost visible column with the mouse" is to select all columns, then why
not select all columns in one go rather than take half an hour to do so?
