Description Unknown 2003-04-10 16:59:00 UTC
After following the installation guide, starting soffice in
~/OpenOffice.org1.1Beta/, it quits with an error:
"X IO error".
If started on a remote X, it hangs.

Need more info about: which Linux (maybe Debian Woody ?), which type
of installation (single user or net/client), who has done the
installation (root or user) and who tries to use it, what about user
rights ???

the System : Debian sid. GLIBC 2.3.1, Xfree86 4.3
Installation type: workstation
root do the installation first, to the /usr/local directory.
then a normal user run setup for himself, install to his home directory.
He has no write permisson to /usr/local
soffice is lunched in the normal user's account.
