Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 13159
OO Calc: No UI to control sheet directionality
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:00:08 UTC
OO calc is missing a UI that lets the user control sheet directionality- only cell directionaly. This is importent in order to control cell order. Microsoft Excel has an extra conrol that we do not have. See screen shot comparing both.

DL->NN: Would you please takeover?
Right-to-left layout of the spreadsheet cells will be added after the 1.1 release. Falko is currently specifying the user interface.

Notice how due to this bug, the attached excel opens with the order of items in tables reversed. Very annoying

This is already implemented on the "calcrtl" child workspace (see http://sc.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=features&msgNo=151) and will be in OOo 2.0. I should have updated the issue when writing that announcement. Oliver, this is the same as Ibis 106948. The attached Excel file has right-to-left mode set for the visible sheet and must be shown that way after importing.
Set resolution to fixed
